Photoshop

Just some practice in combining images. Bright and cheery one at that.

Horsefly

I have a great fascination with mythical beasts, particularly those which are born of my own imagination.

Terrible

but what else can I do with the blurry photos I can't bring myself to get rid of?

That tent is too old.

before

after

Of course I was in it when the tent, my brother found in the carboot sale stock, collapsed.

Basket Chair

If only abstract and interesting went together in the same sentance I would enjoy it so much better.

Cool Lines

Who doesn't love the odd architecture shot?

HRBOS

Apparently on of the best pictures I've ever taken, mainly because of the half light.

Talent

From my uni project studying graffiti artists

The Tripod Swap

Trying to determine which mini tripod would be best for each camera we eventually decided to swap anyway.

Crucial moment slightly too far to the right.

I do like this picture though, the shadows are particularly fun to look at.

Illustration

Observing observational drawing.

St Pauls Carnival

Something about his half weary expression always catches my attention.

The Scary Door

Bit of a geeky reference but those who know Futurama will know this.

Dj B Tokin'

My more masculine persona caught in a photograph or... Sometimes I get really bored.

Huddersfield Bus Station

This is what happened when Huddersfield Council booked French performers to put on a show at the Light festival. To confirm for any in doubt this was just a part of the show but still not something we see everyday.

Sparks

Who can resist capturing fireworks I especially like this one as you can see the figure in fancy dress holding up the shower of sparks to head a procession.

Girls in the Garden

Caravan

Sharing with four snoring people meant that daylight was the best thing I could have seen that morning.

Smoking Dragon in the Sun Porch

Patch

In Wales the bare minimum requirements to sit in the smoking porch during winter, are at least three layers including an outdoor coat and a cat or a hot water bottle.

This big?

My people pictures have never been the strongest but I think I shoud put some up to add a bit more interest.

Transitional Spaces

Successful group work although my personal favourite of all the images never got enough recognition so here he is.

New Breed of Sheep on Anglesey

This car would seem less out of context if you could look the other way and see the field containing a carboot sale in full swing.

anonymous fame

I feel lik starting a trend, taking pictures of the back of statues its more amusing when you don't know who it is.

house arriving 2019

There is no good starting point for a blog that is essentially just a back catalogue of photographs.
Which is how a gate to nowhere seemed most delightfully appropriate.
This gate belongs in front of a Victorian town house, protecting the precious little flagstoned yard, brimming with colourful flowerpots, from the hustle and bustle of a busy commercial street. Yet somehow it ended up here seperating sheep from cattle with a regal air and a foxglove for company.
